I was born in a sunny region of Germany in 1973 and grew up
in
Bruehl by the river Rhein close to Heidelberg.
The town was originally established as a fisher town 850 years ago. Today Bruehl
is a lively little town filled with beautiful old buildings and surrounded by
nature in every direction. It was a great place to grow up and filled my mind
with creative thoughts.
My motto:
“If the sun does not shine – I paint myself one and if the flowers don’t bloom
-I paint myself some”
I inherited my creativity from my mother who always encouraged and out of
painting became
drawing. I mostly used watercolors since I loved the color
effects I could achieve with them and some times with oil or acrylic.
For a I while I was into photography and even took some classes for it in my
school.
By the age of eight we moved to my mother’s hometown
Berlin where we stayed for
5 years.
This great and amazing city influenced and characterized me tremendously. I
inhaled all the wonderful impressions like a sponge, and converted all this into
colorful drawings. This gave me great pleasure and gained me positive
recognition by my teachers as well.
Back in Bruehl I was lured on stage for 3 years. I took over the roll of
Magenta
in our regions only
Rocky Horror Picture show stage group. We preformed every
weekend and because of our growing success even appeared on TV a couple of
times.
Due to a family decision I was sent to spend 6 months in
Chicago to polish and
enhance my English proficiency. What a great challenge! I’ve been here ever
since, and Chicago has become my second home.
My next adventure took me into the computer world, not realizing I would develop
such a passion for
Web Design and
Digital Art. With the help of books and
friends I taught myself this fun and very useful trade in no time.
The craft of jewelry making was brought to me in 2000 through a dear friend who
showed me how to use pliers and jewelry wire. I was fascinated and intrigued and
knew I had to learn and master this craft.
I love to create jewelry out of glass beads/pendants, corals, stone, and
whatever I can find to turn into a unique necklace, bracelet or earrings. Since
that day back then I’ve been mesmerized by these little colorful beads and
developed my own unmistakable style over the years.
Due to my love to glass beads/pendants my interest in making my own
beads/pendants grew stronger. I gathered information and books on this flaming
subject for 2 months. Then in May 2008 my fiancé and I took a Lampworking class
and after that I went out to get us the needed materials to start our new hobby
right away.
“Beads are born, created and come to life through love and flames. They are
unique as you and I. So let yourself bedazzled by their beauty”
I hope all my visitors will be enchanted by the verity of colors and shapes of
my beads and necklaces displayed here on my web site as much as I.
Enjoy your visit,
